Choir Club

Mondays and Wednesdays, 8:05-8:55 AM

September 15th - May 18th. Room 405.

If there is no school on a Monday or Wednesday, we will make up rehearsal on Friday that week. (January 23rd, January 30th, February 20th)

Power Your Potential with MakeMusic Cloud - MakeMusic

All current Kulshan music students have created an account on Makemusic.com. Make Music is a platform that students can use to record their practice and get real time feedback while at home. Student musicians will also submit playing quizzes through the platform regularly throughout the year. Students can access method books, solo and ensemble music, and a variety of video lessons for free through their account.
To log in, remember to manually type in your email. This is the first 5 letters of your last name, the first three of your first name, 3 numbers, and bellinghamschools.org
- Example: PETAIPEA000@bellinghamschools.org
Your password is what you typed in during our registration day in class. If you have forgotten your password, click the link that says, “Forgot your password?” on the Log In Screen and you will receive an email from makemusic.com to reset it.
- If you don’t receive the email, message me at pearl.petaia@bellinghamschools.org and I can manually reset your password.

teoria : Music Theory Web– Teoria.com is a website to practice note and rhythm identification and get feedback at home. It’s like taking a practice test and getting immediate feedback, with no need for a specific instrument, camera, or microphone.

teoria - Exercises I recommend exploring the Favorite’s tab, but feel free to explore the whole website.

If you can’t bring your instrument home often but you still want to get some rhythm practice in, learn more about your instrument, or learn more about music theory. I recommend these video creators:

Mr. Gordon - YouTube : All Kulshan music students have seen me play his videos in class. Take 3-10 minutes to work on some rhythm reading through silly videos.

Youth Community Opportunities

Bellingham Symphony Orchestra

Free and discounted tickets for students, as well as chamber ensemble opportunities.

Bellingham Youth Choir

5th-8th grade choir available to all Bellingham students. Rehearsals take place in the BHS Choir Room on Mondays from 4-5:15. Scholarships are available.

Bellingham Youth Jazz Band

7th-9th grade community jazz band meant to supplement school band experiences. More information to be updated.

Mount Baker Youth Symphony

Rehearsals on Monday nights from 6-7:30 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church. Audition required.

North Sound Youth Symphony

Rehearsals on Monday nights from 6:30-8:30 at the Western Washington University Performing Arts Center, Lower Level 2. Audition required.
